2009年5月、2010年9月,《四川大学学报(工程科学版)》编辑出版了《纪念“5•12”汶川大地震一周年及抗震减灾特刊》和《灾后恢复重建特刊》两期特刊,汇聚了国内外学者关于汶川地震的一手原始资料和最新研究成果,助力灾后重建等相关领域的科学研究。2017年,为适应国家对科技期刊专业化、国际化的发展要求,积极落实国家对科技期刊发展的战略部署,《四川大学学报(工程科学版)》正式更名为《工程科学与技术》。在国家创新驱动战略的指引下,《工程科学与技术》将继续发挥科技期刊的学术导向作用、科技传播作用以及创新引领作用,积极承担并履行相应的社会责任。
在“5•12”汶川地震十周年之际,本刊再次编辑出版《纪念“5•12”汶川大地震十周年及防灾减灾专刊》。2018年1月底开始酝酿策划,2018年5月初正式出版,专刊依托四川大学系列高水平国际化平台,汇集国内外学者近十年来防震减灾方向的前沿性研究成果,希望以此方式促进防灾减灾体制机制改革的探索与实践、灾后重建前沿技术创新研究等,为重大自然灾害应对提供高水平智力支持,不断推动国内外防灾减灾事业的可持续发展!
