Abstract:In order to identify the location and extent of the damage for high flexible cantilever structure
the constrainted flexibility method for damage identification was proposed.The relationships between equivalent bending stiffness and the elements of the flexibility matrix or a first-order modal parameters were deduced
and high flexible cantilever structure was simplified as a curved concentrated mass model based on a first-order modal parameters.By analyzing morbid of flexibility method for damage identification based curved concentrated mass model and introducing constrainted conditions
low morbid equations were established and used to identify damage.The results of numerical example showed that constrainted flexibility method for damage identification has better identifications
and significantly improves the morbid of flexibility method.
