Abstract:The influence of slotting on the mechanical properties and transmission performance of gear teeth of filtering gear reducers was studied through finite element method.According to the comparative results of different slot shapes
it is found that straight slot has very good effect on mechanical properties of the gear tooth.Then the influence of slot depth
pore size
stress release hole and the chamfer size was analyzed
cases with different applied loads were also simulated.Finally
the results showed that the straight slot on Filtering Gear Reducer when its depth is three times bigger than the modulus of the teeth
the radius of stress release hole and the chamfer are both ten times bigger than the pore size,and pore size is smaller than ten percent of the modulus of the teeth
can effectively improve the mechanical properties of the tooth and reduce the vibration caused by gear meshing.
