Nondestructive Measurement of the Porosity of Tissue Engineering Scaffold
Abstract:The traditional methods of measuring the porosity use mainly experimental methods
their accuracy cannot be guaranteed
the reproducibility is poor
and which may cause damage to the material.In this paper
based on the correlations of the elastic and porosity
the nondestructive porosity measurement of tissue engineering scaffold is researched.Ultrasonic vibrometry technology and FEM are be used to simulate that ultrasound excites material to produce acoustic response.As a result
the relationship between the elasticity modulus and porosity is acquired.At the same time
we find when porosity is certain
pore distribution is different
the centroid skewing will affect the natural frequencies
which can’t guarantee the effective young's modulus's oneness. And the influence of centroid to young's modulus is proved:porous model overall effect on the effective young's modulus is equivalent to the sum of every single hole's influence to young's modulus.
