Abstract:In order to gain both bioactivity and antimicrobial ability
titanium with microporous/nanotubes structure on its surface was fabricated by acid etching and subsequently anodization at different voltages and bovine lactoferricin and alginates were loaded through layer by layer assembly. Samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
contact angle test and the loaded drug amount was determined with ultraviolet spectrophotometer. Then the biomineralization ability was studied by biomimetic mineralization experiments. The results indicated that samples with nanotubes of bigger diameter carried more drugs. The materials are of good hydrophilicity. Also drug-loaded samples induced the mineralization.
